Needing a win today in Long Sault to advance, the Warriors dropped a pair of contests to complete regular-season play tied for fourth place with La Citadelle, at 7 points.
So a tiebreaker was needed to determine which team would advance. Head-to-head they played once, tying 4-4. And both teams had 3 wins on the season.
The third tiebreaker step using the formula [GF/(GF+GA)] for all season games was then used.
- Tagwi's results: 4-4, 2-3, 2-1, 1-4, 2-1, 5-1, 1-2, 0-4 [17/(17+20)]=.46
- La Citadelle Scores: 4-4, 0-3, 5-0, 4-3, 1-2, 3-2, 3-4, 1-4 [21/(21+22)]=.48
La Citadelle wins the tiebreaker to claim the fourth seed for the playoffs. Tagwi officially finishes fifth, and their season is over.
St. Joseph's takes first place, followed by Holy Trinity and North Dundas to round out the post-season seeds.
